For the 2022 and 2023 seasons, Vero Chicago Pizza became the Official Pizza Sponsor of Phoenix's professional soccer team, the Phoenix Rising. To maximize this partnership and engage fans from both sides, Vero Chicago Pizza sought to create a unique connection that would resonate deeply. That connection? BEER! A beloved staple among soccer enthusiasts, Vero Chicago Pizza and Phoenix Rising, along with their shared partner Four Peaks Brewery, decided to craft a co-branded beer.
The result was the Vero Rising Gold Lager, a light, refreshing beer designed to complement nearly every dish. This draft-only beer required a distinctive tap handle that would stand out amid Vero's extensive draft selections. As a soccer enthusiast, we envisioned a crest that would symbolize the union of both brands, incorporating elements from each.
The final design featured the Phoenix Rising logo nestled between two deep-dish pizza slices, along with two vintage soccer balls and adorned with four six-pointed stars representing Chicago. This emblem was not only striking but also meaningful, capturing the spirit of both Vero Chicago Pizza and Phoenix Rising.
The Arpo Agency applied this crest to tap handles, apparel, and promotional materials, ensuring a cohesive and eye-catching presentation. Our creative efforts successfully highlighted the partnership, drawing attention and fostering a sense of unity among Phoenix Rising fans and Vero Chicago Pizza patrons alike.
